There's nothing to suggest the 5oz will be the one and only 1967-2017 commemorative coin set released in 2017 or that only 2,150 collectors can celebrate the 1967 coinage by owning a 2017 commemorative release. Let's not forget that RCM is in the business to make money and 2017 is a year of opportunity.

That is true wildflowerAB, I'm sure RCM has something up their sleeve.

Personally I think the mint looks at us like a bunch of dairy cows. Time for a monthly milking. :) The Granddaddy of the 1967-2017 coins will probably be released in the July 2017 release. (July 1, officially 150 years) The mint will probably toss lots of commemorative coins at us until July.
Any thoughts?

Thoughts? Just like yours. The RCM will try and milk us for anything in 2017. You just have to be selective of what you buy. There probably will be another big coin series next year. I think every year they will probably have one. Who knows? The same set might be colourized.

In not buying anymore NCLT but these some of my resent favourites and I believe are going to hold their value at least 5 years from now. But by then, there will likely be several series in the 5 oz big coin series. I truly do like each of the big coins but not enough to dish out the big bucks, and the with flooded market making it tough for anything to hold value, I'm making smarter investments. The '67 set was one of my first coin purchases. I love the designs.

There is a ton of silver dollar collectors out there. Both NCLT collectors and old time circulation coin collectors. That is why the Goose coin sold out so fast. Remember the 2 oz renewed Voyageur coin? This coin is comparable to that one. Except for the size you can call this renewed silver dollar #2. That guy selling it for $2500 is calling it a renewed silver dollar.
I will not be surprised if this coin hits $1000. I wish I could grab a few single ones but they seem to be sold out except for subscriptions. So where can I can buy a single Goose Coin?

"That is why the Goose coin sold out so fast. Remember the 2 oz renewed Voyageur coin? This coin is comparable to that one. Except for the size you can call this renewed silver dollar #2." Renewed silver dollar # 2 comes out in November. No comparison at all. Secondly, yes the mint's allocation is probably sold out but there will be more for sale.
"I will not be surprised if this coin hits $1000. " - Sorry won't come even close. Wish I could sell you some but I didn't order.

I believe it will even go higher than $1,000.00. That is my prediction.

$1000+ is definitely possible, but most certainly foolish.

The 2 ounce voyageur is selling for almost a thousand. No one thought that would go as high either. We will just have to wait and see:)))))

If you want just the Goose coin, cant you just get the subscription and cancel the sub after you get the coin? Or is that frowned upon?

Look at the obverse - both effigies of QE and King George are not all gold plated. Each effigy has the crown gold plated. Each has the shoulder and lower part of the head/shoulder gold plated but the rest of the face is bare. Besides the size and price I would say they are the same, probably designed by the same artist. Most importantly the issue is almost identical. The renewed Voyageur is 2200 and the Goose is 2150. If the Voyager coin can go for around $800, I don't see why the Goose coin can't sell in the range of $800-$1000.

The voyageur coin sold into collectors who rarely sells, this series with increased mintage and the possible of an instant colour series a month latter is fraught with over hype.
