Can anyone help me with these silver skulls. Why are some priced so low (like the 3Dbars) and the one ounce coin so expensive?

I am very interested but need some advice.

Simple matter of generic bullion vs. non-circulating legal tender coin produced by private mint for a micro nation in Pacific Ocean. Coins will always have a premium over bullion (even when they don't merit it!).

Thank you @commems

They look quite interesting. Will have to think because of price difference.

The man that makes these is the same man behind the Beaver Bullion and Masterson poured bars. I would say it's more of a hobby for him because I know there isn't much money in it for him or the dealer at those prices. From what I understand these particular skulls are made from the same molds used by the other big national bullion companies.

I won't disclose much more but I like his work. You'll find his bars, rounds, and other shaped bullion pieces in many coin shops across the country, Hub City coins and London Coin Centre just a to name a couple.

Are you saying that the hand poured 3D bars are better to get (less expensive) or the actual skull coin which is triple The price?

@SelectCoinCanada
You have great knowledge of these. Are the bars the way to go?

@New1954, what is "better" is really a matter of esthetics. I have seen this guy selling his product at coin shows. I personally prefer the flat thinner stuff for storage purposes, but it is undeniably quite popular, and I admit that there is a certain attraction for the poured bars.

@New1954

Glad that you are also interested in bullion.

lol.

SKULL - HAND POURED - 1 oz Pure Silver 3D Bar - TCS
This is The Coin Shoppe ( TCS ) 's own brand bullion bar. buy with spot + premium and mostly sell with spot only.

SKULL NO 1 - SMARTMINTING - 2016 1 oz Pure Silver Coin - Palau - Coin Invest Trust
This is actually ( NCLT ) $5 coin, minted by CIT ( famous for minting Mongolian Silver Coin ), buy and sell not by bullion spot price.

No comparison between bullion round to numismatic silver coin.
