According to my rep, this is not the November release. That will be same as usual, at the end of the month

Penny set doesn't interest me much. It's ok I guess but I think I prefer the 2012 set and frankly would rather see a set of copper I cent coins. Totally agree that 5 years is not nearly long enough to wait to try to cash in on nostalgia. Nothing else in this release that hits home. Trivial Pursuit? SMH. I will be shocked if they sell anywhere near the 10k mintage. Nice display box though. Any comments on the breaching whale? Yet another MC exclusive and if you order now, you can get a COA between 1 and 1500. Personally, the COA number thing seems silly unless the Mint also states that the order of striking matched the COA number. That has not been the case in the past at least so no reason to believe it is now. The coin also looks strange to me and the whale is awfully skinny.

Is this the first time we are seeing pink or rose gold on RCM coins?

What I am thinking.... We can find some disadvatages of this set, due to it we probably would skip. And the price also plays role. But what about....free set (well, almost free)? According to the other site, the sets are "flying" from the RCM shelves. Be quick to buy 2 sets, resell one for 1000+ and you got "covered"

Quote: According to my rep, this is not the November release. Too early for November releases, so these must be part of a pre-release as there are many more items on the way. A visit this afternoon to a CP outlet revealed a number of NCLT coins not mentioned earlier. From what I recall there is another dome shaped coin, 3D grizzly bear, 'cat and dog lovers' and some lenticular Christmas coins to name a few. I would expect that there to be a $2 coin announced shortly as well.

It's funny that just after this release, I got an invitation to do a RCM survey.

Coin-four-Fun listed some November release coins, check them out! Although will not buy a thing, but liked the traditional coins like Caribou. Squirrel not bad, distracted by these "chocolate cookies" glued to the coin, they probably represent oak leaves... I would send these "designers" to draw by hand posters for Hollywood movies for cinemas in some very remote cities. Oh...Mint First free Kaleidoscope RCM likes to attach to the coin sets some stuff from Canadian Tire

@silveroid I loooooooove the Canadiana Kaleidoscope subscription. I ordered it. Are you aware that these are the thinnest one ounce coins the RCM has ever made? (60mm wide). I cannot wait to see this flat coin. Also, the great packaging that comes with it is great. And, those polar bears and colours are outstanding. The other two should be phenomenal as well. RCM is the only one offering the subscription. The dealers are selling them as singles. That Nutty Squirrel coin is the most ridiculous design I have ever seen.

@New1954: The design is OK for Kaleidoscope Not for everyone's taste though I actually prefer the thick coins, but (as per RCM) the techique here should be impressive. My concern - really was needed to add kaleidoscope with RCM logo to the coin set? Post the image of the coin, when you'll get it, please, will be interesting to take a look.

Info credit goes to SimuN22. And the 3 D grizzly coin is similar to this one: The 3D grizzly coin is 10 oz gold plated, 1200 mintage, $999.95

Two releases in October? Short memory buying syndrome, RCM expects fewer but more often to increase buying frequency? I hope not and that semi-monthly isn't to become RCMs new standard. Why the Breaching Whale is 3 dimensional. It wonder how well the way it's attached withstands the test of time?

The Scarlet Macaw coin the RCM has listed on the latest product release is much nicer and has a lower mintage. It also looks more 3D

That would be a first coloured 3D for RCM. One can pretty much have a look at what's being endlessly released by Cook Isl or Niue to predict RCM future releases in terms of "first" as well Their lower mintage is meaningless, it's a market that's over saturated.
