Very nice Queen's rendition IMO (looks like she has a smile).

She has been smiling since 1965 with the Arnold Machin design, my favorite. It is an interesting obverse in full proof, you lose a bit of detail in the cheek area because of the frosting but the contrast of the crown and drapery in rose gold is nice. More detail in the hair and eye in the modern version. Here is the modern compared to my Specimen Dollar from '67. Thanks for sharing your photos of this really nice series canadian_coins. Here is the 1977 Specimen SD (Brilliant) and obverse of the Proof 1977 Four Governors General Medal to compare.

@canadian_coins: Thanks for the images of the one cent coin from the set. Exceptional as always! Question: Your reverse image seems to show a selectively gold-plated "1 Cent" and "2017" on a silver background which matches the original image posted on the RCM web site. The revised images on the RCM site, however, show a center area that is entirely plated in rose gold. Is the center area of your coin selectively gold-plated or entirely gold-plated?

Quote:The revised images on the RCM site, however, show a center area that is entirely plated in rose gold. Is the center area of your coin selectively gold-plated or entirely gold-plated? That is just because the center area has a mirror proof finish, and is very dark in the photo, so dark that the gold colour seems almost black.

@commems, Here is a better shot showing the reserve selective gold plating. The center is entirely gold plated.

Quote: to rich for my blood to consider it Works out to $142 per coin which is the average price of a 1 oz silver silver. Throw in two 2 oz coins and this set is one of the best value RCM sets out there.

Canadaian_coins makes amazing pictures
Thank you for this visual enjoyment!
I mostly like the area of your photo-artwork, where the coins pictured as non-flat, like a picture of 3-d object and not a scan.

Thanks for your good comments. Check out the 1967 penny that I just posted. IMO this is one of the best quality PR coin I've seen. It would grade PR-71. http://goccf.com/t/274583

I see this set is on ebay for $629.99 cdn. There is another set on ebay auction that ends in about 2 hours. Presently its $490 It will be interesting to see what it sells for. I thought this was going to be a hot item when it first came out. Glad I held off buying it !

Outstanding pics as always canadian-coins. I was looking at this set yesterday at a dealer's. If only the coins looked as good in hand as in your pics.
