@mikesnickname
All you have to do is call CC&C and I am sure they will accept your order.
They offer superb service.

I know cc&c has them available but I'm not a VIP :(
The criteria is only something like $1000 so buying the set would almost make you one. Wouldn't hurt to ask. Otherwise maybe they'd agree to put you on a waiting list to purchase the set the minute the presale for VIP ends (or tell you the time so you could make the online purchase on your own).

Quote: When the original coins they represent were produced there was no official policy on bilingualism. Numerical numbers don't need a translation. @Proof Nut. True. However, these coins are part of Canada's history, and I prefer a true representation of our history. It is what it is, and shouldn't be changed for political correctness. This is just a pet peeve of mine.

They offer superb service. This is great advice. And I would add - you also could call RCM, just mention item id. The $710 set - this is something that representatives would gladly sell.

@silveroid The problem with calling RCM is the long wait to get through to someone on the telephone. I email and my rep responds immediately. CC&C answers the phones much quicker.

Anyone know what the actual shipping date for this set is? Mint's web site has a shipping date of Nov 1st, but in my rep's email the shipping date was December... I don't know which one to believe as they are both quite unreliable these days.

I believe December is the release for those who use the 3 month payment plan. Regular release is November 1st.

People who choosen to make 3 payments (October, November, December) - will be getting set after last payment done, e.g on December. Imo, except the splitting of the payment, it is comfortable to watch the market price for the set and decide - to get it from RCM (if will go up in value), or cancel and get later with deep discount (if will drop in price).

Hmmmm....
Thank you for posting, Shopaholic
Might be it could look "more closer to original" copper penny, but it less clean. Not sure, that like this change.
Btw, I have the Tribute to Auastralian half-Penny (1923) coin, and there all silver surface covered by copper layer...

So after everyone has scrambled to get an order in, the design has been changed?
