No thinking about it.
It's 100% counterfeit.+
There are 3 easy to see markers
on it.
Nice catch.

Ended by seller.

JimmyD,what are those 3 easy markers? I was born in 1948 and though I can't afford even the lowest grade,I'd like to know what to look for on a fake.

Dennman-
The number one way to tell is that the initials "EH"
are missing below the canoe.
Also the number "8" is way off.
The second "L" in Dollar has a much thicker base.
There are also discrepansies on the Obverse but
these are the easiest to recognize.

Were these two also counterfeit that sold?

I don't see the EH.

Is this seller known for mixing in counterfeits with real coins?

Those 2 appear to be genuine Talon. This is the first straight conterfeit I have seen this seller list; not saying it is the only though as this seller often uses very deceiving photos in their listing and has a no returns policy. I bought from them once and never again.

Another huge red flag to me is his last auction for a 1947 ML Canada Dollar graded MS65 by NNC. This coin was clearly no where near a MS65 and to list and repesent it as that and no returns to boot says a lot about a seller to me.

I would never buy such an expense coin without third party grading, preferably ICCS.
