Yes, the mass, thickness, and diameter (and whether or not it is attracted to a magnet). Also, the websire http://www.dragondollar.com may be of some use.

Those numbers are awful good numbers in your favor. I regret I can no longer give my opinions to other members based on pictures. I have and I've seen so many that look good or are flawed, they are both found to be genuine and non-genuine. All I can really say about some coin pics is that I may or may not see signs of the fakes. In this case, your numbers are good and I don't see some of the obvious or common signs of many others coins that are fake.

Yes, the only thing I do not like about my coin is the slightly off center rim. But I guess with so many millions of coins minted in several years, this may be possible in some authentic too.

I have just noticed that there are some differences between the denticles on obverse and reverse sides. Both are a succession of wide denticles and thin denticles, something like the following picture: But there are two points where the succesion is interrupted, - On obverse side at 7:30 where is missed a thin denticle. - On the reverse at 9, where actually two wide denticles overlap. I have counted the denticles on both sides: - 101 wide denticles and 100 thin denticles, on obverse side (Bust). - 101 wide denticles (the two overlaped wide denticles count as one) and 101 thin denticles, on reverse side. It would be nice if someone could compare it with other 1914 "Fat Man" Dollar coin and confirm it.

Cara, there is really one thin denticle missed at your shown site on Observe. Data: 101 wide and 100 thin denticles on Observe. 101 wide and 101 thin denticles on Reverse. 26.93 grams, S.G. 10.279 (=87.2% Ag) Bought from ebay in Sep 2013 by US$90.00 I am confident it is genuine. Scans:

That's good news wonghinghi, good job !! and yours is a nice coin. I think we can state for this common variety that these are the numbers.
I have saw on internet another called "Kansu variety " that has 101 wide and 101 thin denticles, both on obverse and reverse sides.
Other thing are the "Military issue" varieties, I really do not know much about those.

Cara, do you mean coins portrait of YSK wearing uniform? Better don't touch, mostly fake in general in my opinion.

What I mean are coins minted by warlords. I'm not sure if they are classified as contemporary counterfeits or as unofficial minting or as local coinages, I really don't know, and there are many varieties. look at this: https://coins.ha.com/itm/China/worl...bnail-071515
