Quote: Hope I also receive low coa #'s as well. In this case your Certificate will be really "Early Release". The paint more clear and the paper is paperer. Is it possible to sent for grading the certificate?

I received my coin today. It does look really good but.... I'm not sure why they are calling this the second coin in the series? It's not the same size as the last one. It's not in the same original series as the last one.
Seems to me they should've just said its the first coin in the second series of renewed silver dollars.

For the people, who managed to obtain the Library Silver Dollar, but somehow missed the Voyageur, here the opportunity to grab it for low (may be). In any way, not the seller set the price, but the public. Participate, put your bids, and maybe.... 2015 $1 Voyageur 2 oz Renewed Silver Dollar Series DC (Proof) Silver BullionItemID on ebay = 252622959182Current bid CAD 338 and 2 days to go. Do your bids, gentlemen, share to the friends, watch it, and let's see, what it really worth. Btw, not I am the seller.

Some members on the other forum decided to sell their Library SD. Low certificate serial numbers (one below 100, and second below 400)
If someone missed the coin - contact the guys there.

Strange everyone got low serial numbers but I got one at the other end, #2452. You would figure that people receiving the first batch would get lower numbers but I guess it is random.
Also, on the other forum, they said the coin was great looking but they are still selling them? I guess they got more than one.

I got number 629.
How do they decide who gets what numbers?

I'm just curious how they decide who gets their item shipped first.
I still haven't received anything.

For it to make any sense and for it to be fair, the first coin made should get the COA with number 1, second coin with COA number 2, etc. The coins should be on the first to order, first to get basis. As it currently is, and someone please correct me if I'm wrong, the coins are made and COAs are added along with packaging at a different area in the mint. There is no guarantee (or even effort) to ensure COAs match the corresponding coins. Which leads to my next question. If I'm correct, it kind of makes the MC perk of getting low COAs completely pointless. The purpose of the COA is merely to show the maximum mintage and provide "proof" the coin is legit at this point. (Kind of silly really, since I'm certain a coin counterfeiter could produce a fake COA faster/easier than the actual coin). The number on the COA could easily be replaced with a shape, colour, word, barcode, etc., and it would really make no difference. If for example, the whole amount of a specific coin was made and set aside to be packaged, and than packaged with COAs at a later date, I would assume the last coin set aside could easily become the first to get packaged according to the way they got stacked. Does this make the coin with the most die wear but with COA number 1 the most valuable? Certainly not. Add gold plating, glass bugs, jade inserts, wooden pieces, crystals, glow in the dark and so on, or any combination of these, and it means more areas the coin travels after going through the press and the more likely the order gets changed. I'd love to hear that I'm wrong in my assumptions, so if anyone can provide facts instead of my speculation, please do.
