I collected these tokens from the Norwegian Sun cruise ship in 2014. They are used in the 'pusher' machines of the casinos on board NCL ships alongside regular US quarters (and whatever other coins people manage to fit into the slots!)

Common reverse:

The other sides of the tokens show the distinctive hull artwork from each ship:

Well I made another bulk bag buy the other day, family just wanted the money. Didn't seem to care about the coin collection, or token collection. The LCS said the took the first offer he gave them. The collector was in his mid 90's. He had some interesting items, that I will be posting in the other threads. I will be starting with a pre 1988 slot token from the predecessor to the Prince cruise line. It was called Sitmar cruises.

I'd love to know more about these. They are porcelain Siamese gambling tokens. The first two, I suspect are hand painted and from the eighteenth or nineteenth century. The last is a printed piece of flat porcelain indicating less age? Dimensions are consistent in all three. The figure on the reverse of the third image is probably the value. I'd love to know that value.

Although the gambling houses were located in Siam (now Thailand) most were owned by Chinese. I'd love to know if the characters are Thai or Chinese.

I find the ingenuity fascinating. In what the British Empire dubbed the Far East, these houses had little access to metal. Weaponry and sparse coinage ate up the supply. They needed a substance that could outlast and hold up to the activity in the house.

Came across this today, interesting for apparently being made of copper.

Picked up 9 Casino chips from a garage sale. 8 from four different Las Vegas casinos and 1 from Mohegan sun . Paid $10 for the lot . Did I do good or paid too much ?
