Went back to the school I got rained off on a couple of weeks ago. The Jungle Gym area was a bust but around the pathways we found this haul.

Congrats on the find! Are those quarters or sacs on far right?

Quarters... I wish they were sacs.... the gold ring does put me over the 20grams of gold point though.

Nice haul you got there. Can't beat an outing with a gold ring inlcuded in it. That nickle beside the ring, did you blow that down or is it a tiny nickle?

Your doing pretty good with the gold. Wish I could say the same. Have you tried to sell any of the jewelry finds yet? Just wondering where the best place to sell to is. Pawnshop or jewelry store. I would think jewelry store but don't right know. I have quite a bit of silver jewelry.

I spoke the the bullion dealer at Houston Numismatic exchange and he told me they would take it. I am going to wait until I have about an ounce before cashing it in. Hopefully it will be before the end of the year.

Nice chunk of change found there, nohope.

For those interested in selling jewelry, you might try Midwest Refineries.

Lot of MD'ers deal with them.

Deadmunny is right. Midwest pays 94% of the current price of precious metals no one beats or matches that price. Pawn shops and jewelery stores usually offer 66% or less. That's of the amount of pure gold in the item. With 24K being pure gold then a 10K item is less than 50% gold, .4166% X .94% x the weight of the item.
