A retired ex-coworker that knows I collect coins came to see me at work yesterday and gave me this jar (I loved it ,really old jar !) with Canadian coins as thanksgiving gift
I saw some interesting coins like the one with the Breast cancer ribbon and the big gold dollar, also I don't know why there are 2 pennies in a 2x2 , guess is because it's in good condition . I can see some silver quarters and dimes ....
I don't collect Canadian but only American coins and have no idea what to search for errors or varieties .... any help is appreciate! Happy thanksgiving all!

Wonderful gift.

Canadian coins are cool ... once you start collecting them it is hard to stop.

Love the old jar

Thanks all for the comments , good news so far , took from the jar few quarters and found 4 silvers ,if I'm not wrong before 1967 are silvers right? ...the most of the coins are pennies ,guess there are around 200 of them so will leave for the last .

Hello everybody ! I'm back to update you members about what I found in the jar ...
as mentioned before 90% of the coins were cents... and in my opinion the most interesting one was a 1964 woody , I will post it separately and ask for opinions if it's really a error.
The oldest was a 1920 cent in really good condition and was the only one from 1920's...
I tried and look for other kind of errors but need to find time to learn and become more familiar with Canadian coins , my experience with them is from finding in circulation at work and I use to keep them if it's early 1950's but don't find it often .
I got some silvers .... quarters and dimes ...not sure about the 1968 if it's silver ?
and some red cents that will put in a 2x2 to protect them .
Oh and I bought a withman folder to put the cents ! Think it's a good start !
