billjones Pillar of the Community United States 1499 Posts	Posted 12/05/2016 5:10 pm Yes, the coin has pits in the obverse field that are quite obvious. The coin may have been mostly black at one time (Which is the color copper-nickel turns when it's corroded.) and had a layer of metal scrapped off of the piece. Some of the old surface still shows around the buffalo on the reverse. The sharpness grade is VG to Fine, but the restoraton job knocks the net grade down to Good in my opinion.
