@Potsdam: I picked up some toned coins at a coin shop next to Ostbahnhof at a very, very decent price.

NumisRob, I'm surprised there's no big thing for toning in the UK, since so many UK coins tone quite beautifully. I've seen quite a few copper-nickel gems that are spectacular!

@UltraRant Yes, that is the Nowak & Beth shop. They're very nice and friendly, but I rarely by anything but equipment for storage because coin prices arent always the best.
