Rim looks trim and high, elements extremely well struck.
I'd send it to NGC if it were mine.

I am going to say no. Two types of 1936 proof sets - brilliant and satin - the fields on the OBV and REV of this coin do not indicate the mirror fields one would expect to see on a brilliant proof. NICE MS coin, very possible. Have you seen in hand yet? Easy to zoom feature on PCGS website. http://www.PCGScoinfacts.com/Coin/Detail/3995

Almost certainly not a proof in my opinion.

I say probably not. Just very nice BU.

The obverse rim doesn't look sharp and even enough near Liberty, so I'd also say no. But very nice anyway.

I would have to say NO. Not enough details from top of braid on up . Nice sharp horn and split tail , MS-65/66 I'm sure if it was a proof it would not be in a 3 cent 2x2 .

A very nice looking nickel, but I do not think it is a proof.

Agree, just a beauty, but not a proof.

I am no expert on the Buffalo but it is a beauty for sure!

If you are buying a proof Buffalo nickel you had better restrict your choices to PCGS, NGC, and ANACS-slabbed coins (and possibly ICG). It is very easy to represent a well-struck business strike as a proof but unless you are a true expert on the diagnostics you should protect your investment with a TPG guarantee.

I think there is a possibility it may be a proof. Some better pics would be helpful if available.
