Some people find it easy to buy stuff.

Some people find it a chore to sell anything, so they just use ebay and try to get rid of the lot in one sale.
They are looking forward to a warm fuzzy feeling the easy way. In these sorts of cases, that rarely happens.

I didn't see the original listing on ebay but it appears to have been updated with at least some listings of what's included. I don't see $70,000 here (sold as a lot). Bid is $4050 as of now.

He listed 6000 ICCS graded coins. If you average out selling them off at $10 per coin, that works out to $6000 although there appears to be many which will sell for considerably more. If this ends at around $7500.00, IMO I can easily see the buyer doubling his money albeit with a lot of work ahead of him.

He wants that but he didn't set a reserve as far as I know. Does that mean he'll cancel the sale for anything less than $70,000.00 ?

I asked for and received the list of all ICCS coins, don't have time tonight to review all of it, but there are some pricey coins there.
The seven Vicky fifty cents alone trend at $7500.

IMO this will end up being a great purchase for a dealer.

If trends is $110k, current realizable market value as individuals is probably closer to $60k, most of it does not look like "finest known", so that cuts out many of the deep pocket collectors for a big purchase. Which means someone who wants to purchase this, is likely doing it to keep some and flip most of it, I would guess $30k is the high end to be profitable, but not sure how many collectors have $30k sitting in the bank, which leaves the dealers. But It is more middle MS and quality circulated coins, which are harder to sell for a decent price and it seems like many of them have plenty of MS 63/mid grade Vickie's, Edward's and George's. There are a few a few rarities thrown in to make it interesting, but probably not enough to make the carrying cost of $20k in inventory worth it.

I have looked through the list, it would fill some of the expensive holes in my collection + a few upgrades. If someone on here wins it, I hope they share some better pics.

I would guess this auction gets cancelled or seller refuses to ship if the price is too low.

I don't understand why he is selling the entire collection for such a low amount when he could get much more if he sells them individually. Or take them to a dealer or go bring them to an auction house.

I will be very surprised if it even hits $10,000. Besides a dealer I don't see anyone buying it because most collectors buy individual coins to complete their collection.

I think I will guess that the buyer will win it for $11500 and get a message saying: Sorry, but I was hoping for a lot more money than that. Therefore, I cannot sell you these items for such a low price.

I'd say no more than $6000-$7000.

Interesting sales tactic! Well it's seems to have quite a bit of interest here. I hope they do well, and the buyer.

I'm editing this to delete having typed happy holidays to say, I mean Merry Christmas!!

I wonder if it will go back up as smaller/individual lots? If so, kind of a shady way to market your auctions.
