Thank heavens for the 1813 half eagle! If it were not for that date, acquiring an example of this type (1813 to 1829) would command a "moon money" price. PCGS graded this one MS-62.

A 1795 eagle which, according to the experts, was struck from the first die pair. This piece was minted in September 1795.

PCGS graded it AU-53. The surfaces have a number of small marks that are consistent with the grade. The best thing about this coin is its originality.
