Hello I found this penny today while shopping and noticed some things that might need some attention the words in god we trust seem cut off as well on the reverse and on the date on the 9 is something sticking out and on Lincoln's face is a line and reverse an extracolumn also the l in liberty is missing

It may have been damaged by a counting machine.

to the forum. It looks like the die that struck it had a lot of wear. I think there was probably some grease on the die as well. Grease causes letters to be not as strong or not appear on the coin at all. The wear distorts them and sometimes cuts part of them off.

Coop is our main expert, I was typing while he was posting. I agree there is some environmental damage as well. Definitely not a mint error. Better luck on the next one.
