Hello everyone. I just wanted to let you know that Mike won't be around here for at least 3 days, possibly a week. He is going into the hospital this morning for a planned surgery. Everything is expected to go very well and we will hopefully be seeing him back here by early next week.
His wife will be calling me tonight to let me know how it went and I'll post here to keep all of you up-to-date.

I'm sorry. I meant to post last night. I heard from Mike's wife pretty late last night and she said that the surgery didn't get started until 5 hours late, so he was still in the O/R when she called me. She said that everything was going fine at that point and that Mike is hoping to call me himself today.
I'll be at my sister's for the holiday, so either she or Mike will call me on my cell phone and I'll post as soon as I get home (unless I can get a couple of minutes on my sister's computer).

I just got off the phone with Mike's wife and am so very happy to report that he came through the operation with flying colors!! I am hoping to speak with Mike later today or tomorrow and I know that he'll be back here as soon as he is able. |

He should be coming home on Sunday or Monday, depending on how he's feeling. The doctor originally thought he might be able to leave on Saturday, but the surgery was a little more difficult than they had planned. Despite the lengthy surgery (over 8 hours total), he is doing much better today. He wishes everyone a happy and healthy Thanksgiving and hopes to be up and running again soon!
