Truly a lovely horngroschen for 1465, and many thanks as well for the Hungarian denars to keep us going.
I suspect this could be a long hiatus ...

I hope not, especially since we have a few waiting to be posted after 1464.

Quote: 16th century as you write, Petrus, 1/5th Philipsdaalders were issued in the 16th century, mostly between 1560 and 1575 Philippe II (born in 1527) was sovereign of the Netherlands from 1555 till 1598, so the date on this coin is rather strange could it be an imitation? https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Philip_II_of_Spain

Perhaps that post could have waited until April 1? Maybe mentioning this violates some taboo, but there are some early dated Aachen coins up for auction at CNG (still below the estimate last time I looked). Good luck to anyone who is bidding (I am not).

Quote: not the firs time I did this well, if you would be so kind: do it again and again for a little more then a year, my coins from the 14th century would fit nicely in this thread
