It might perhaps be helpful to include the Islamic date (in this case, AH 868) in the title.
I suspect that some collectors of Islamic coins might not remember offhand which particular AD years the dates of their Islamic coins convert to...

Quote: We are right at six months before the fifth edition can catch up. the fifth edition is a big fish, swimming one year per day this way - still in the 17th century (today = 1606) and already at page 293 !

Quote: swimming one year per day this way Yes, but I'm expecting us to run into the same sorts of speed bumps starting in the early 1490s or late 1480s.

Yikes. This post will be the first concrete movement of 2019 in our 4th OFEY quest. That is sorta depressing to ponder, but I am super-excited to be able to contribute to our progress today. Here is an undated Goldgulden of the German Electorate of Pfalz that was issued only in AD 1464. I'm pretty sure that it was produced at the Heidelberg mint on behalf of Friedrich I. It is attributed as Felke #1395 and Friedberg #1978. Tomorrow we drop back to 1463!
