Quote: I little cameo there, but I guess not enough to get the grade. You mentioned you were putting together a proof set. I would like to see them, but probably in a new topic of your own so things don't get confused here] Thanks, Spruett, your set looks great! I don't want to clutter up this thread, but for anyone who is interested, here's a link to my basic 1938-1964 proof set. I'm about 60% complete at this point. https://www.PCGS.com/setregistry/ni...edset/188986

Thanks for the link, MJD. Those are definitely great looking Jeffs! . Like you, my older proofs (1942 and back) are, or will be, PF66. That's really all I can afford on those. I have the '50 and '51 proofs slabbed (in PF66 as well), but everything after that is raw. I don't know if I'll ever really try a registry set, but it's a great feature. Maybe someday.

Quote: I received five upgrades today. They aren't super high grade, but much better than what I had, so I'm happy. Excellent!

Quote: This is my last "group upgrade." These arrived a couple days ago: Fantastic! Quote: The only remaining upgrades are the 39-D and 42-D and those will be purchased individually. Good luck!

The 1942-D is a beautiful example of the date and the coin, and not that easy to find at times. I have only 1938 yet to complete, all in mint state condition or proof strike. Thank you for sharing your progress.

While my "official" Jefferson collection ends with 2005, I have most of the new design in 2x2s and when I found out about the first ever West Point-minted nickels, I just had to get them. I searched everywhere for the uncirculated version before I realised it hasn't come out yet, so I'll have to be satisfied with the proofs for now. What do you think: should they stay in the Mint-sealed bags or go in capsules?
