I know folks get a lot of DDO questions, but this one really has me excited. Let me know if you all think this is a slight DD or damage. I am really hoping for the former.

First image: Focus on the DD in "IN GO(D)"

Second: Focus on DD in "(G)OD W(E)"

Congratulations - What a great find - I still have not found one of those 1972 DDO's and I've been doing this for a year now.
Rest in Peace

I have only been into US coins for about a year as well. :) So to give you all an idea of the extent of my search:

I searched through several thousand one cents here on base in Korea and ended up with 3kg (~1000 cents) of 1959-1981s (and Copper '82s). I was going through them to fill out a book when I found the DDO.

I am very excited about this find and it will stay with me forever. Good luck everyone!

The die scratches across 'GOD' was the clue for me as to being that die. Not all the 003's had those die scratches though.
