Found this (probably) silver islamic coin while metal detecting, but I cannot find it online, is anyone familiar with it?

@hanna1988, what an interesting find! It looks Mamluk Dynasty (13th Century AD) to me. Here is a similar coin for reference. It may not be an exact match, but it should get you pretty close.

Also, you should treat this coin gently as the flan already has multiple cracks in it. Thanks for sharing!

@spence thank you sir that helped a lot.
regarding the condition of the coin, do you have a way on how to remove this black residue from it? I don't really believe in the "do not clean" policy of coin collectors since I will probably never sell it but I would prefer that it doesn't look like I picked it up from the garbage the black residue makes all details hard to read ...

I would start slowly with the least aggressive solvent and then ramp up as slowly as you can. Better to leave a little residue than harshly clean (some here argue against cleaning altogether). Remember this guy was been hanging around for 700 years--be gentle with him!
