I didn't remember that when I made the pictures, unfortunately, but it has been corrected!

At first glance, this 1974-D Ike $ looks like an ordinary, typical, average, circulated coin. But, on the reverse is what is called the "Moon Line" die clash. In the second pic you see a close up of the die clash showing up as a line on the right side of the crater and inside the crater. The line seen is not a scratch (I've examined it under magnification from various angles). According to the Ike Group's website: The "Moon Line" is the image created by the top of Ike's head. Note that the line never crosses over the rim of the crater as this feature is quite incuse on the die and beyond the "reach" of the clashing obverse die.

The bigger majority of the images that I post were accomplished by some talented individuals at PCGS and another forum member Bob Campbell. Here is an example of my imagery attempts.you can see why I contract out.

Quote: 1974s ms 67 may resubmit this through conservation to remove spots Tough call. I do not think they would bother me that much, but that opinion could change in hand. Quote: 1974s PF-68 DCAM Lovely toning.
