A familiar pattern here, the 2nd coin syndrome, is again occurring. People see the first coin doing so well, they have to have jump on the wagon for the 2nd. The 1st GITD dinosaur coin, the lady bug coin, the 2013 gold Superman, the Renewed Silver dollar. These are the prime examples of where first in the series coins that sell for 3x, 5x, 3x, and 4x the price that did not do so well for the following coins.

It is a telling sign when the RCM is still not sold out of the coins despite hitting the lower tier of Platinum and having a limit of 2.

As for the Coin Shoppe, the coins sell out because the Coin Shoppe have a smaller allotment than the big dealers. Also, they have a 3% discount which help move the coins.

Pysanka coin "Awaiting Stock."

Unless there are returns it won't be available for public release, as with the first coin.

Easter is coming and these pysanka coins make great gifts instead of chocolate or flowers. Chocolates are eaten and flowers wilt, whilst the coin survives. Lol

So true, New1954, unless the "seconds on the lips, but lifetime on the hips" rule applies. lol

These Ukrainian pysankas are also very popular in Europe.

But this is Ukranian / Polish Pysanka.

They are not Polish, silveroid. They are Ukrainian.

I again think, it should be much less editions (coins), with the mintages sufficient to all. The collectors just want to get coins and not chase after item, just because not enough minted.

Anyway, hopefully for the people who still want it - the coin will be available at dealers and a lot ebay listings.

I agree, we saw this happen often enough over the past year The chicken and the egg scenario - people create RCM Sell Outs just because of lower mintage, the secondary market gets flooded and everyone loses.

There must be more to coin collecting than that...,.

I bought the Pysanka coin and the Wood Caribou cut out coin (used my $130 MC coupon on it).

I really like the Wood Caribou coin. It's a nice size and I love them actually putting thought into making the series about threatened animals and the missing image within its landscape. Well executed IMO.

@SoulBrotherNo3: Agree, the primary design element of the caribou cutout coin ties in very well to the coin's theme/message -- it's a good use of the new cutout minting technology.

Hope to see an image of yours when it arrives!

...and this is before public release.

Chances are only one big dealer, maybe two will have them. Others dealers are all sold out.

As was posted on other forum - 2017 Pysanka coin sells for EUR 110 at the PowerCoin.
This price still not bad (~CAD 160) for people who didn't load enough from RCM or other sources.
Tomorrow - public release, when people will see that it sold out from RCM, the CAD 200 will be the lower price that they will be ready to bring to the sellers....
