Due to a promotion at work, I don't have to travel as much as I did, however last week, I was in the north of the country and went to Carboot as I was travelling back home. Found a stall with a bunch of coins in a bag, the stallholder wanted £30 but agreed to accept £24, I got just over 200 coins but the main highlights were:

2× 5 Swiss francs 1967
2x 5 Swiss francs 1966
1x 5 Swiss francs 1932
2x silver 1 Swiss francs
1x silver 2 Swiss francs
1x 1/2 Swiss franc
1x 25 ore swedish silver
1932 10 danzig pfenning
1921 1 Dutch cent clipped planchet

Also got 16 Swiss francs in non silver coins

Can anyone give me an idea of the grade and value of the danzig coin

Thanks

It looks a nice grade lightly circulated coin is worth 5 to 10 pounds. In mint state considerably more. Yours looks pretty nice, but not MS, so maybe the upper end of that range?

Just don't ask a junk shop to sell it for you. Apparently they sell nice coins for next to nothing!

(Nice finds again!)

What's the retail on those three commemoratives? I thought they were mostly circulating issues?

I was working away from home on Friday and found a local market, there was stall with a bag of coins for £3.50. I got 1924 nickel, 1917 nickle, 1890 worn nickle, 1912 nickle, a worn 1922 sixpence and the best of all 1918 dime in I think very good condition. It's been ages since I've had a deal like this. Edit- I posted this in the classic US coins by mistake as well yesterday.

However yesterday I want to see a relative in a nearby town, they were holding a monthly market. I found stall which was selling a big bag of coins and foreign bank notes for £35.

I couldn't resist taking a gamble and brought it, there is about £60 worth of convertible currency, I've sorted it in to separate bags. There are 73 bank notes.

I also found 10 silver coins including a 1994 100 franc coin. Best of all was 1907 us Indian Head cent to add to my collection of old US coins. I don't think I'll get lucky like this for a long time.
