Forgive me if you've already answered this, but are you currently accumulating, or flipping these for the exchange rate? The GBP has been in Flux lately, so good timing and a little luck could make a nice profit for you! I did a similar thing last year with a bunch of Japanese coins, and made a respectable profit, even after ebay fees.

During a recent visit to Papua New Guinea I came across a small, road side market stall just out of Rabaul. Amongst the usual tourist items I noticed a basket of coins. The lady said that passing tourists had given them to her but they were of no value to her as she couldn't exchange foreign coins, only notes, so I offered her 5 Kina (AUD$2 or US$1.50) which she was more than happy to except! Australia - 20c x2, 10c x 2, 5c x 19 New Zealand - 10c x 7 England - 1 pence x 1, 2 pence x 2, 1 penny x 1, 5 pence x 1, 20 pence x 1 USA - quarter x 2, 5c x 3, dime x 6 USA - 1 cent x 41

Hi Finn235, I don't sell any coins, I look for varieties and errors and keep them. I also keep all silver coins, euro coins, US coins, canadian coins and Swiss coins, as I plan to visit those areas. As for the double coins, I donate to charity. Great finds coaster, being in the right place at the right time is part of the luck you need to find coins.

For most of this month I have been working away from home, so instead of posting my finds every couple of days. I decided to wait until the end of the month. So I managed to buy over 420 coin for £12, but I got over €35 in coins, $10.15 in coin and 20 uae Dirhams in notes. But the main finds were: 1920 25 centimes Tunise 1938 2 milieme egypt 1844 British penny Fake silver proof kew gardens 50p 1968 1 silver swedish krone 1940 silver 10 Canadian cents 1944 silver p mint nickel. I am not sure if the fake kew garden is real silver, it passes the tissue test, ice test and sound test for silver and is non magnetic.

I was going to post all my finds on a monthly basis, but today I have had a real big stroke of luck. I went to car boot this morning and brought a big bag of old British pennies. In addition to the pennies there was a bag of foreign coins that included the following: 1867 shield nickle (without rays) 1873 3 cent not sure what type
Also got 4 silver coins
I paid £5 for the whole lot, about 1500 coin.
Will post pictures later
