Appears to be the result of being on a parking lot pavement and being run over and back and forth across the surfaces a few times.

Just damage.

Looks like this maybe raised? If so, then it be die abrasion strong there. Or a glancing die gouge, or both. That is what it appears like on my phone.

That is nothing more than road rash. Looks like it was scraped against asphalt or pavement
