Found this quarter this morning. It looks like the damage by the date could be PMD as the coin is bent a bit there but there are many marks around the edge that look like they came from the mint. Opinions?

Sorry about the picture quality I'm still working on taking better pics.

What causes the damage along the rim that makes the metal look porous?
