Quote: I took statistics in grad school -- don't remember a thing. I can relate. Quote: Why not give weight to the responses? Those responses with the least clues should be worth more than the ones where the years have been narrowed down to fewer choices. This rewards the participants you jumped in early to get the game going. And since all guesses would carry some weight, those who only guessed once would have a disadvantage over those who took all three guesses. Very fair point, and this was the rationale behind my original scoring formula. Let's see if other members weigh in - I'm curious what other folks think. I'm not personally attached to either method--I just want y'all to feel it's a fair & fun contest. Thanks! ~ Mark

Yes, thank you for the contest! I believe that you have made it fair for everyone. Plus, with multiple prizes/winners I don't think there will be any complaints about your generosity. There's still time to become a supporter and get your guesses in folks!

Sorry for the delay y'all. Naturally today turned out to be a particularly hectic day! Here are the results: Please check for any errors I could have made. I'll be back in an hour. ~ Mark P.S. My paternal grandfather was born in 1888.

I think I recorded everyone's guesses accurately in the spreadsheet, but just wanted to make sure. So, if you are one of the winners (top six), it's time to select your prize! If you do not have a strong preference for one prize over another, you might consider indicating that and discussing with other winners. For example if #4 would love 2014-D Native American dollar, and #3 would be happy with any prize, then #3 could select a different prize so #4 is a happy camper. ;-) The list of prizes is in this post: http://goccf.com/t/280130#2378577Also remember: "Note that if you win a prize, but you don't want or need it, you may 'bequeath' it to a CCF Supporter of your choice. Just email me his or her postal mailing address, and I'll send the prize to your designated recipient. (I will also happily donate a prize to a Young Numismatist club of your choosing.)" EDIT: Prize winners: Please send me your mailing address.

Congratulations to the winners! Great going T-BOP for having the only correct guess!
I'm assuming choices go in order of preference from 1 through 6 unless the winners work out an exchange?
