JESP New Member United States 28 Posts	Posted 02/09/2017 8:48 pm At first glance the difference from expected color caught my eye, but then there is also a separate piece of metal around its circumference. The metal ring is pulled up slightly at one point, and I haven't removed it any further. I thought this coin might be hollow at first but I've changed my mind there. This odd one came in a larger collection of Lincoln cents from a friend employed to clean out a house for landlord, so I don't have any other info. * Moved by Staff to a more appropriate forum. * Report this Post to the Staff

If that's the case, that bezel may be silver. Most likely plated to make it silver colored too. This was popular in the 1950's - 1970's for bracelets and other jewelry. The way the bezel has tarnished, it could possibly be Silver.
