When I tried to access the list of CCF members on ebay my old Ipad2 froze up saying "web crash". I can understand not having this access because I am a new member with less than 50 posts.

Now I am trying to access the Glossary and I get the same "web crash". Am I subject to newbie rules in this case or do I have an issue with my old IPad. Thanks for your help.

You should be able to access them just fine. They are working for me no problem.

Anyone else?

I had an iPad 2 for a long time. Bought it new in 2011 right when they first came out and used it happily to access this site and many others. As it aged and became bogged down with new versions of iOS, I started to have problems with more and more web sites, including some of the larger pages on CCF. I think it is just a shortage of memory on the iPad 2. I treated myself to a new iPad Pro 9.7 at Christmas this year to finally replace the iPad 2 and it's been nothing short of awesome so far.

I got almost 6 years out of that iPad 2 which is pretty impressive for any piece of technology, but it was time. I think your issues are caused by the iPad 2 and not something with the site specifically.

Thanks KenKat, I really appreciate the info. I was afraid of that. Guess I'll bite the bullet.

Well, my dad got an iPad 2, and we still use it every day with no problems.

I agree with KenKat about it being a memory issue. I have the same problem with loading large webpages on my iPhone where the page would crash.

My son is still using the iPad 2. He did a complete factory reset to wipe it and it is working pretty well for him. Part of my problem I think was the accumulation of 6 years of stuff takes a toll.

I was having lots of problems with sites like cbssports and ESPN, but could be ok if you start fresh.

I got the iPad Pro but my other son got a new Air 2 and it is awfully nice also and cheaper than the Pro.
