Quote: I don't think he is a mint employee as he told me he bring his family to the boutique to buy those egg coins Interesting though even if he was an employee he could still bring his family to the store to get more. And why would he admit to being an employee to a random buyer? Unless of course he's a friend) ... I mean if he was just bring his family to the mint boutique, how is he getting multiples of MC exclusive coins? I don't think they sell those coins at the boutiques, do they? He probably has multiple channels (employees, family, friends, random sellers). I believe he is a Mint employee because he has super advance notice of new coins and he often uses RCM stock photos (as opposed to pic of the CP catalogues). I suppose he could be a friend, spouse, relative of Mint employee too. He also sells volume items at prices where he could not profit unless he's getting a discount on their purchase. Anyway, apparently the new coins will be available tonight via e-mail for those platinum MC who have reps and likely, midnight or so on line. Happy hunting.

Quote: I don't think he is a mint employee as he told me he bring his family to the boutique to buy those egg coins Mario95 is not telling the truth because the Mint Boutiques do not have 70 of the Pysanka coins he has sold so far. The Mint Boutique in Vancouver only had 15 of the Pysankas, so where did get so many of them? OK, maybe the Ottawa Boutique had more than the Vancouver Boutique, Say 30 units; still does not account for the 70 he sold. Also, it was one coin per person limit. How could he buy 70 of them? He had 70 family members? I don't think so. Number one reason he is lying: The Mint Boutiques do not sell Master Club Exclusive coins. He sold 10 of the Library of Parliament coins so far and now he is selling the 50 cents MC exclusive. I am pretty he is a Mint employee (or a relative of one) and he is just using the Boutique story as a cover.

So true @wildflower Many coin shops are not listed on RCM site like these: Colonial acres London Coin Centre The Coin Shoppe And, I am sure there are many more but I have never bought anything from other dealers except these three and the approved ones on RCM site. Also, they get their share of MC coins as well as a dealer discount.

The Coin Shoppe is a dealer as are hundreds of coin shops across Canada not on that RCM page. Note it says "Diamond Level Authorized Dealers". That mean their are other tiers of dealers not listed. I guess they can't list everyone. I understand anyone can become a dealer as long as you meet their criteria.

The way I read their authorized dealer list, only CC&C and Gatewest are "Diamond Level Authorized Dealers" and the rest of Cdn authorized dealers are just listed by province. Quote:The Coin Shoppe is a dealer as are hundreds of coin shops across Canada not on that RCM page Hundreds of coin shops across Canada? You sure you're not seeing things? lol! But RCM's authorized dealer page is not the same as a coin dealer directory. For certain, not all coin businesses sell new NCLT even though they may buy (and resell) it when buying customer collections. So I'm still curious why the Coin Shoppe does not appear on it or why they wouldn't want to correct it, if it's an error.

Quote: Actually I bought from Mario and the return address was the Coin Shoppe Hi, we were directed here by one of our customers and just wanted to set things straight. We have no idea who Mario is and why as you mention had used our return name/address. Can you please contact us as we would like to understand what address was used and name as we would like to get to the bottom of this as this is clearly fraud. At this time we have three points of sale: webstore, ebay store (the_coin_shoppe) and our physical store. Thanks

All this could be easily explained: The ebay seller (as many of us) keeps the packaging, and he / she just reused the box, sent to him by The Coin Shoppe. In the PO, you can ask for sticker with "FROM" and "TO" addresses, fill it and stick on the box / envelope, so the "old" writings will not playing a role.

Coin is up for MC Platinum members now. Just used my $130 redemption code towards the purchase of one.

80% sold. Will probably sell out by the end of today or tomorrow. By the way prices on ebay have fallen to $295.98 or best offer and free shipping and one on auction for $279.99 with no bidders. I guess this coin isn't as popular as I thought it would be on ebay,or people just watching the price drop and waiting till it settles down to a lower and more realistic price. probably around the $250.00 range.IMO

Now this is natural drop, cause:
**the coin became available for additional MC tiers **the purchase limit is still 1 **no much excitement expressed from the collectors **some re-sellers competition.
I think, for the popularity, it will be similar to Library Silver Dollar. But which future design-wise has the series? Coat of the Arms evolution with the different Monarchs? We already have unbeatable 5oz Coat of the Arms 50c coin...

IMO - price lower on ebay for one reason - double mintage- If 80% already sold that's over 3500 sold before full release to MC members...that makes it popular no?
