Modern commemorative 1 oz. silver coins that cost 40% more than 1 0z. silver bullion design to me just don't get it. The silver eagle design of Walking Liberty is beautiful. If they made different bullion coins with classic designs I think people would snap them up and they do become collectable like the current silver eagle design from 1986 to present. How about 1 oz. SLQ design or Mercury design? Of course, that would kill the 1916 gold design rollout they did in 2016 maybe. Modern commemoratives except for the 1986 gold Statue of Liberty and a few others don't do much for me. I would much rather have a classic half dollar of Daniel Boone or Pilgrims.

I would be happy if they either changed the ASE design or started another parallel series. I think they should keep commemoratives and silver mint sets at the traditional 90% silver though.
