commems CCF Master Historian of USA Commemoratives United States 12253 Posts	Posted 03/15/2017 6:39 pm My three uncirculated Boys Town commemorative coins arrived today. Overall, I think the design of each coin is effective in telling its part of the Boys Town story and I'm pleased with the Mint's technical production of the coins - they all appear to be good strikes w/o noticeable dings or scratches. One semi-interesting note, the COA for the gold half eagle lists the composition of the coin as "90% gold, 6% silver, Balance Copper." This is a slight change from recent years which had listed the composition less specifically as "90% Gold, 10% Alloy." Great history coupled with compelling design should go a long ways towards making this a treasured USA commemorative. It would not surprise me to see it in a couple of years as a candidate for "Most Inspirational" coin in the annual Krause "Coin of the Year" awards program. welder Pillar of the Community United States 1037 Posts	Posted 03/17/2017 12:00 pm I couldn't afford the gold coins, so I bought the silver proof, silver UNC, and the UNC half dollar.
