Moe...when I was a kid in the 60's - I went to my first coin show and one dealer had about a dozen cases, all stacked with 1904 Double Eagles.
Pick any you wanted for $100. I'd say he had at least a half dozen bags all stacked up nice and neat into rows of 5" thick - how many exactly,I'll never know. The one thing I remember as if it was yesterday, they were all dated 1904.

The 'Days of' threads usually allow for catch-up, unlike the 'How Far Back Can We Go' threads.
Since this is a hybrid thread, it is probably okay to got back a couple of years, but I would want Moe to make that decision.

i may buy an 1804 dollar. The guy selling it doesn't collect, so he has no idea what he's selling. I'm pretty sure it'd a class 2. Can't wait for July 11th

I am really enjoying seeing all these nice coins.
Liking the gold and proof coins the best ...
Maybe I got the idea of this thread wrong ..
I was thinking Moe was asking to post your/our best coin for each year .. does that mean just one coin for each year?
One coin per year was how I took it.

There are a very few forumers whose coins consistently make me weep tears of joy just to behold, and Elbesaar is definitely one of them.

It is intended to be one coin per year, GR58, but if the Generalissi-Moe doesn't mind a bit of rule-bending now and then, some people might sneak in one or two more ... ;)
