That was a great start...cents through gold...commons to key dates...on to 1908.

1908 20 dollars (no motto):   This was my first 20 dollar gold piece, obtained around 1965 for about $60. This is one of the most common US gold coins -- I wonder how many of these we'll see today?

This is the coolest 1908 "coin" that I own. It is a 1908 Elder dollar (HK-810). It is rather rare with a mintage of only 50.
