Hi all. Thoughts on this gsa please. There is a slight scratch in the holder that goes from the lower part of M to the ear horizontally. It disappears in these photos in the black background. The luster is absent because of the translucent material I used to photo with. Thanks all ! AG

I'm at MS64. Almost PL but not quite imho.

It grades MS-63 at best. I would be more inclinded toward MS-62.

Assuming the cheek scuffs are frost breaks and not actual contact marks then MS63 shouldn't be a problem.

Fields are not bad but the cheek has seen better days. I'm inclined to agree with billjones 62/63

Beautiful frosty coin! I don't think the scuffs and bag marks are deep or frequent enough to make it an MS62, so I'll go with MS63.

the cheek marks do not appear to be scratches but just rub from bouncing against other coins. typical GSA at MS63

I'd say 63 at worst, outside shot at 64.

Thanks all for your opinions. I felt it was 63 when I bid online. The reverse is better than some graded 64's, but I got hung up on the frost abrasions on the obverse in hand. Currently am negotiating a graded 1880 gsa in ms 64 with similar obverse frost breaks by rub. I can live with it graded or not. AG
