I couldn't be happier with the results! I bought this coin for $20 at a pawn and paid $31 to get it graded. From the nick on the reverse rim to soaking in acetone to get rid of the finger print left over from a coin dealer who popped my coin out of the plastic slip, the coin is finally taken care of for good. I had 50/50 mixed opinions on whether this would even grade, in person and online. I'd like to thank everyone for the opinions because I probably wouldn't have sent it in to get it graded! Also, my first choice was ANACS so I'm happy I went with PCGS! Here is the original thread http://goccf.com/t/276029

Why do people on here say it will cost so much more to get it graded from PCGS? Coin vault states 20$ per piece for PCGS grading fees. How much does it really cost?

I worked very hard to find someone who'd send it out for me at a reasonable price. Literally asked dozens of dealers in my area, was about to send it out for $70 until I found out that the guy I went through said it was very steep and he'd do it for $31.

Nice. I was pretty confident it would come back as a straight 58. I just sold my 58 recently for a couple hundred bucks
Rest in Peace

I missed your original thread on this one and would have probably said 53 maybe 55. Congrats on getting it back 58 from PCGS. That's a huge score!

Well done. Agree your going to pay #30+ for PCGS grading all in. and that's for coins of lower value.

So funny story with this coin was that I bought it on a Saturday, it was snowing and I almost didn't go out, however I still did and they had just put all these Morgans out and I was the first to pick through them. Didn't have much cash so I was able to buy this one and one other one in at least MS 63. By Monday morning the rest were gone, some one came in and bought everything. I got so lucky with this.

Since then I have bought some stuff (I could make a thread with pictures):
Fatty slab NGC MS 62 1923 Peace dollar $25
1884 O and 1885 O Morgan NGC MS 62 $20 a piece
2000 S NGC PF 69 Silver half dollar $5
NGC first spouse bronze medal and ICG MS65 George Washington $1 coin for $1 lol
Also got a Three Cent piece for $2 in VF condition, forget the year but it's a $20 coin

There are some coin guys who go there, so I have competition but I assume they were going there when I was finding all this stuff so who knows, just luck plus they like me there because I buy a lot from them.

Right now they have a 1884 CC Morgan GSA hoard for $200 it could pull maybe a MS 63 maybe 64, they wouldn't budge on the price but after $30 to grade there is nothing left for me. Some one else will buy it I'm sure, they really only think that CC mint marks bring extra value.
