I think I have a predilection for these tiny buggers - they're so cheap. Thoughts on grade and problems? TPG grade and price in 48. Thanks! Enough nicks and dings, along with a stain, to keep it out of the MS class. I'm no pro by a long shot, but of all the resources available, I like PCGS Photograde the best. It's especially useful for determining the highest wear points on a coin, that can make the determination between MS and AU. Part of it depends on what those lines are around the top of Liberty's hair. Are they die scratches? The star above that looks like a die crack. Otherwise, I don't think it's been cleaned, at least not recently. I want to put it at MS-63 or higher.

The pics aren't real sharp/clear and I think it graded MS62 or so, maybe even 63. I bet it has pretty good luster in-hand.

Yes those lines on obverse field on top of hair concern me too . Nobody mentioned the hit on lower cheek . MS-61 .

the scratches are not traversing the devices therefore polish marks from die polishing. MS63

Sorry. Paid $70. Wholesale bid is $55 but I have never seen these sell at that level. These generally sell at auction for $65-125.

The only thing I can quickly check is ebay sold listings and from that, you got a decent deal. $70 is definitely on the low end for a PCGS MS-64.

64 sounds fair looking at the slab image. And 64 is the optimal collecting grade as the price jump from 64 to 65 is quite large.
