26,389 sets sold as of Nov12 compared to 26,276 the week prior (25,740 Oct29, 22,648 Oct22). This set will die a slow death by the looks of it.

The end of December the Mint is retiring some items that have been on sale for over 6 years! This might join the Assisted Living group of the future...but it still is a nice looking set

I have the normal Proof "P" mint and just learned from this thread that there are 5 different silver 1 oz medals. The set of four being offered together are different than mine so I may get the set. I can find the other 4 slabbed for $185 in 69 NGC like mine is already and that would compliment the project to have them all the same. The reason this caught my attention is because I normally look at "silver medals" on ebay of which there are normally 25,000 of every day. That way I only have to roll through a couple few pages and then I check the ending soon as well. I usually keep up with it by using newly listed search and noticed these medals are all over the place and starting cheap. The supply appears almost greater than demand already. These remind me of the rush there was on the 2001 Silver Buffalo Commemorative Set of two 1 oz coins. They were almost $500. for the pair at the peak but now they can be had for much less and are available at around $100.00 each. I may hold out even longer and see if these sets drop even more before I get them. I do think it is a fantastic looking design and it would be nice to have all 5. I do wonder, if there is such a thing as a "key" to the set of 5, would it be the first one that is not included in this set that I already have? Thanks.

Maybe one day, if only because the first one was sold on its own and cost more that the other four medals. However, both products are still available from the mint so I would not call any of them key.
