Quote: That makes me an owner of all 5 silver versions. Sweet! Now if you don't already have the 2 2016 editions, that is your next assignment.

Quote: Thanks jbuckster. I wonder what next year will bring? ( without highjacking this thread ) There is a gold version on the calendar, but nothing else that I can see. I am sure there will be something.

Quote: Ouch... $168 delivered with credit card & free shipping. Okay, since ordering directly from the Mint cost $204.90 w/ shipping, who took the 18% hit? MCM? or do they get a discount from the Mint? or did someone else take an even bigger hit when they sold to MCM?

My guess is that these were submitted for grading and came back 69 or lower, so they cracked them out and put back into the OGP for resale. They made good profit off their PR70 sets (See Foxwoods' links) to cover the loss.

Several years ago I picked up the 4 medal set in OGP on the secondary market for $15 over the USM issue price. This past week, I located the single 2017 P Proof Medal for $6 over the USM issue price of $59.95. These are a treasured part of my medals collection.
