Mine made it to the local post office today (well, it is way past midnight now, so it made it on Friday). Tracking says Monday delivery (instead of Tuesday as before), but I expect to get it this coming (Saturday) afternoon.

I wonder how big the four medal set will be. I might have to build an extension on my house.

My two arrived today - very nicely done! Congrats US Mint! Personally, I don't think the packaging is overdone at all. The packaging shouldn't be viewed in the context of it housing a medal (vs. a coin) or compared to what was done for previous ASE issues, it should be viewed as a unique commemorative piece for the Mint's 225th anniversary. Such an anniversary is far more significant that the 30th anniversary of a single coin (last year's ASE) - IMO, the Mint should go all out on such an important commemorative piece! Kudos to them on preparing such an attractive package and booklet.

Regarding the mishap in the video...
I'm not sure I will ever understand why the person making the video felt he needed to do an unboxing video from the front seat of his car. It was clear from the start that he was struggling to keep it all together. Why he didn't just wait until he got home and could work with a stable, flat surface I will never know!

Mine came today! I really like the presentation. The materials are not cheap. I do not feel bad about the price now that I have it in hand. Sure, I might have preferred a repeat of last year, but I am not going to complain. I feel it is money well spent. I have not had time to take photos yet, but I think the reverse has a slight rotation. The display holder makes it easy to view each side and know it is at the same position. The writing on the front is parallel to the edge, on the back it is not.

So does this silver medal not have "225th Anniversary " inscribed on the edge like the gold version?

I also think the packaging is very nice. Do you think the 4-medal set will also include the booklet? I thought the booklet was an interesting read but don't really want to have to pay for it another time.
I also got the impression this booklet was created as a result of the multitudes of comments regarding the changes to made to liberty figure. Kind of like it was a long explanation of how we got to having an african american figure represent liberty. I wonder if they hadn't received backlash on the image if they would have even created the booklet. Anyone else think that while reading it? I thought they did a nice job, btw.

I do not think it will be as nice nor have the booklet, which seems to have been made to fit this box. We will find out soon enough. However, the content may have been informed by the controversy.

As far as the 4-medal set, is it going to be the same design on four different finishes?
