Here are some facts behind the 300-franc note.

Added a few more assignats, such as the 90 livres from this list.

The Bielefeld goldmark series also included denominations of 10 Goldpfennig = 1/42 dollar, 5 Goldpfennig = 5/420 dollar (= 1/84), and 1 Goldpfennig = 1/420 dollar.

Incidentally, I'm about 80% sure that the 66-1/3 is actually a 66-2/3, but without pictures of this rare issue we can't be certain either way.

Also confirming Papal States 47 scudi (auction link) and Russia 75 roubles (news article - might be only known surviving example).

Great, thanks for finding the 75 roubles!
The article says it was issued in 1769 and by 1771 it has already been withdrawn with only 47 notes not having been returned to the banks.

And indeed, it would make much more sense if the Swedish note was in fact 66-2/3. I've found that Krause lists it as a 66-2/3 as well (#S720). I have now corrected that.

Papal States 47 scudi added. Bielefeld notgeld added.

Also added:
- Khwarezm 30,000 roubles 1922 (from CT forum thread, near the end of the page)
- Spain 900 reales de vellon (see this strange-looking website, you've got to select the face value from the list on the left). I'm not sure whether it's a remainder or an unissued note, if it doesn't belong on the list please let us know.

Local issue from the area of modern Latvia, 9 kopeks, 1915.

Based on what this and other notes from this series look like, it seems they were actually circulating, unlike the gimmicky Notgeld of post-WW1 Germany.

Odd-Denominations-On-Banknotes---The-List

There was a matching 6 kopeks as well.

From ebay: 272166854645, 252262241018.

Things to consider:
- adding all the remaining Papal States denominations which we don't yet have. According to Krause they were: 3-100 (all of them), 105-200 (every 5 scudi), 210-300 (every 10 scudi), 320-400 (every 20 scudi), 450, 500-900(every 100 scudi), 1000, and 1500. I have not found any images other than those we have already confirmed.
- adding the Japanese 'oin-satsu'. If I understand correctly, they were old notes stamped in 1872 to reflect their value in the new currency (yen): from 1 rin up to at least 4 sen 8 rin. All I managed to find is this small image described as 1 sen 4 rin, and this listing where the denomination is not given. In fact, I don't know where to look for the denomination at all...

Now this one could be added straight away, provided that someone calculted its value. eBay listing.
Japan, 3 Momme 7 Fun 5 Rin. Krause# S180.
We can see the numerals are there on the note.
But how many fun and rin were there in a momme? Or was it that the 3, 7, and 5 were equivalent values in three denominations?

As far as I can tell, 1 momme = 10 fun = 100 rin: https://de.wikipedia.org/wiki/Shakkanh%C5%8D

That means the denomination is 3.75, or 3-3/4 (not bolded because we already have that one, from South Carolina).

I do not know if this is any help to you but I do have a 60 baht note from Thailand.

That is the oddest denomination I have in my collection.

Also, it is my understanding that in some countries, billion means different from US/UK billion.

Hope I do not make things worse for you, do I? (worried now)

Was that the 60-year anniversary note for the King?

And don't worry, a billion in the US/UK is indeed a trillion across the Channel in Germany.

Aye, that is correct re: the banknote--it was commemorating the 60th anniversary of King being on throne.

Indeed, a billion is a trillion over in continental Europe. Thank you for helping me out on this one. I knew a billion means different over there but could not remember what it was! :)

Whenever I start to fret about billions and trillions, I just look at my own bank account. That generally puts everything into perspective and calms me down.

I know I am very late to this thread, but somehow, somewhere, you guys missed the short-lived 1920s-era Netherlands banknotes with 40 gulden, 60 gulden and 300 gulden denominations!

Also, Portuguese Timor 30 escudo and 60 escudo banknotes from the late 1950s-early 1960s as well.

Thanks for the bump!

Actually, the 60 and 300 escudos are listed, but under "Portuguese India". The Netherlands banknotes are indeed not listed, though I think we already have more than enough 40, 60, and 300 entries than we need.

But this bump gave me an opportunity to post about actually odd denominations: Irish guinea issues.

TL/DR: late 18th and early 19th century Irish banks liked to issue banknotes denominated in multiples and fractions of a British guinea (sometimes implicitly, sometimes explicitly).
Since Irish currency came at 13 pence to a British shilling, and a guinea was 21 shillings, this resulted in some... pretty odd... values on the Irish currency side.

Specifically:

1/6 guinea = 3s 9-1/2d Irish
1/2 guinea = 11s 4-1/2d Irish
1 guinea = £1 2s 9d Irish (base unit)
1-1/2 guineas = £1 14s 1-1/2d Irish
2 guineas = £2 5s 9d Irish
3 guineas = £3 8s 3d Irish
4 guineas = £4 11s Irish
5 guineas = £5 13s 9d Irish
20 guineas = £22 15s Irish (only one known example, if real)

All of the above denominations, if not stated otherwise, were issued by multiple banks.
I'm probably missing some of the more exotic multiples and fractions.

Killarney Bank - a random weird issuer that's more like notgeld than anything - issued a few other weird denominations, including a 1s 7-1/2d note (aka 1-5/8 shillings, or 1/14 guinea). Not sure if that counts as an actual banknote, though.

That looks like it's already on the list, under "Freiberg 97 pfennig notgeld".
