Spiker on obverse and another die crack on reverse top right corner of building. Thanks for looking.

nice find , but can you post a closer pic of the top of the w ,looks like the crack stops before the rim ,and on this forum I was told the crack has to hit the rim for a spike head .just trying to learn.thanks for sharing

cookiemonster, I can't get any closer with my camera than what you see here. That area is darkened and my loupe is not strong enough to let me see what is going on. Even with very bright light, looking from one side, it appears the break gets thinner and goes to the rim but from another angle, it looks like it doesn't. I need to get a glass with higher magnification.

Thanks to you all for your comments.

OldJoe, Most of the 1983 Spike Heads go right to left, with the notable exception of two that go left to right like yours. However those two come from GOD (take that as an omen if you will) and yours does not. I'd say you have a new one and should ping JC with a link to this thread for him to have a look.

Thanks tropicalbats. I sent the photos to BJ to see if he can use them. We will see what happens.

That is the good one; and on the reverse as well. I like how the crack goes through the A and then heads NW to the memorial.

Spike Heads you should send to JC Stevens :)
