Possibly the first 21st century lowball coin (but certainly not the last)
This may truly be one of a kind. Wonder what kind of circulation it has seen in the 16-17 years since it was minted? If only coins could talk.

Another coin to look out for in those coin lots - each one has an exchange value of about $2.90

1997 Italy 1,000 Lire:
Show-Off-Your-Bi-Metallic-Coins-World-Wide
Strangely, during a month's stay in Italy in 2000 I never received a single one of these coins in change - only getting 1,000 Lire banknotes. The only time I got the coins was by asking for them when changing money at a bank! However, since they were demonetised, I keep finding them in dealers' junk trays!

Another example of a bimetallic coin with a decent face value - this one is worth about $0.72.
