2020 Spain 2 euros: One of a series of coins with an architectural theme, this coin illustrates Mudejar architecture - a style introduced as the Christians were gradually reconquering Spain from the Muslims. Buildings in this style combine Christian and Islamic styles and were a result of architects from former Muslim areas continuing to build in their accustomed style but adjusting to the new religion, or Christian architects admiring the Moorish buildings of Cordoba and Granada and copying elements from them.

This issue commemorates the 50th anniversary of the founding of the Central Bank of the Dominican Republic and features a portrait of Francisco del Rosario Sánchez (1817-1861), who is considered to be a founding father of the Dominican Republic for his efforts in liberating the country from Haiti in the mid-19th century.
