I finally have something to share. My son found this in his room after cleaning up this weekend. He cannot remember where he got it, but remembers he wanted to show it to me.

2001 France 2 Euro.

Well here's some more of the £2 coin commemoratives... these are a yearly occurrence now and it seems in larger numbers, sometimes 3 or 4 different reverses per year and often in some small mintage numbers. Its become a collecting favourite for many and now it is not always easy to complete as they are a commonly hoarded coin.

I will just post reverses as there isn't a great deal of interest in the obverse, a few different versions of the queens portrait exist and there was a misconception about at one time that some where the queen was with/without her jewellery were rare...not the case as far as I know.

I don't really have anything to do with Euro coinage but I do have a couple of folders based on their introduction and also a few sets of coins from countries that joined later. Amongst these are bi-metallic coins of Cyprus, Latvia, Lithuania and Malta. I don't know if they have been covered earlier or not in the thread but here they are.

Not so easily seen through the plastic packaging are Finland's outgoing coinage which included this bimetallic coin which I can't recall seeing pictured either.
