Today started with a bang. The floor was pretty active, and I picked up a few goodies today. Tradernick was in attendence, and it is always a pleasure talking with him. Even managed to do a little business with him this time

Some of the highlights for today include:

Wow. I'm glad you lack my impulsiveness, and I lack your resources. :)

Steve...I am trying to find a MS63 range in either BN or RB for my 1923-S Lincoln slot. I have a nice XF one, but if you see one nicer, drop me a PM.

I like those nice "RB or chocolate MS luster" Lincoln coins like some of them I showed to you at Palm Beach in 2004 (if you remember). So if you see one, let me know.

Otherwise I will wait till the FUN show next month. Thanks in advance for yor help.

The coin has some cabinet rub on the obverse. The reverse is definately unc. This coin will be regraded by PCGS and will be placed in the Feb. Beverly Hills Auction hosted by Bowers and Merena.

I expect to get a 55 by todays standards, although I am only having the coin regraded due to the holder issue.

Yes I know that I could get it reholdered without the grade, but figured why not take a shot.

It is the restrike with medal turn, and is stunning. A rich blue toning on the obverse and reverse. I spent sometime looking through past auctions, and have not found this particular coin, so it looks as if this one has escaped the auction block for some time now.

If anyone wants it prior to Dec 20th, it is available. Only 600 pieces were minted.

The Dahlonga Half Eagle will go to Anacs, as it saw a cleaning years ago, but is a very strong AU. (take into consideration that it was struck in Dahlonga, so normal gold grading does not apply) The "D" is incredibly strong, which is what everyone looks for.

The Snow and Ice has hit here pretty hard, but I have decided to take one more walk on the floor for tomorrow.

Ed, I will keep an eye out for the 23-S. I saw quite a few early Lincolns yesterday that I know you would love.

I have a few more coins to pick up, so if anyone has a last minute "wish", I need an email TODAY (Friday) before 7pm.

Well I went back for one more day. Busy retail action, but the best coins were pretty well picked over. I ended up making some gift purchases (widow's mites, and some other ancients). Slow overall for picking.

I did manage to pick up some more reference material, although I passed on a leather bound edition of the Newcomb at the price of $225.00

Kind of wish that I had picked it up, but hindsight is always 20/20

I did pick up a few others, but will miss the opportunity to own that one.

Anyways, overall it was a good show, and look forward to seeing a few of you at the FUN show next month.
