On the obverse of this coin the last T on Trust appears to be funny and the space between the S and T is off. On the reverse the word America the Letters M E R are larger and I am able to see something that may look like a D/D on the E and R. Would appreciate any info.
Thanks

Looks like a strike with a tilted die where the fin is raised on the edge of the rim area. It is slightly raised and flattened/rolled over a bit. They are usually sharp looking when they are fresh struck.

Coop thanks for the info. I have been watching your videos. Thanks for putting that up. My next question is would it be worth a little more than 1 cent...LOL I will save it in my collection cause I like the clean fresh appearance for being from the 60's and I found it in a roll of pennies.

Probably not a premium coin. I would save it for now. I still need to do a bit of research on something else that may be affecting it. But on a separate note, the way the devices touch the rim, all coins that year had the motto looking like that. The master hub was wearing out and needed to be replaced. So the next year (1969) the new hub went into use. The aging of the master hub was making th hub swell outwards when the master dies were being created leaving the motto tops of the devices on the rim. So the next year the new one fixed that issue.

Now with the location of the date and motto, I can see what I wondered about your coin is normal for the area I questioned in my head. You do have an issue with the finning on your coin, but the question in my head about attrition is answered by the image of the one in this post. That the location is normal for this year. So no attrition issue on your coin.

Thanks. With more interesting information, the collector can learn faster. Often reading it in a book is the last thing done.
